I've Got Nothing Left.

Updated: Apr 1, 2019

I've Got Nothing Left.

I've got nothing left,

Nothing more than seeing people move up and down the road from my store.

I had nothing left,

When I was married,

Leaving my cousin's and family and my parents to start a new family.

I had nothing left,

When my husband died,

Keeping us safe and fighting on the front line.

The only hope I had,

Was to live for my son,

But again...

I had nothing left,

When he divorced his wife and stopped visiting me.

I had nothing left,

When he stopped talking to me,

When he stopped sending me the sum of money he never forgot to send with his beautiful letters.

I had nothing left...

Until I found you,

Sitting and crying in front of my store.

You were three then, and you're eighteen now.

I wonder if you do the same thing as my son did,

I will again be left with nothing,

Nothing more than seeing people move up and down the road from my store.

Until I die waiting for two of my son's. One him and the other one, you...
